Production Team Member - Permanent Position

Due to continued growth, we are looking for team members to join our manufacturing team in the production area.

 

The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working in a team as well as being self-motivated and trustworthy.  They will need to have a Level 2 in Math and English (GCSE A-C) or equivalent along with workshop tool skills. 

 

We will also consider all candidates with entry-level or no industrial experience but with a very high level of motivation.

The Benefits

Starting salary of £21,000 pa

08:00 to 16:00 - Monday to Friday

33 days holiday - including Bank Holidays

Eligibility for-profit related bonus based on Company Performance

Eligibility for company pension scheme with employer contribution to 6%

Key responsibilities
  • To assemble and manufacture a permeable mould to the expected high-quality standard within a measured time scale.

  • Reading and understanding the mould design pack and drawings are interpreting all information.

  • Ensuring that the correct stock levels are maintained.

  • Mixing, measuring, recording, painting, and finishing moulds.

  • Trouble shooting and improving processes.

  • Ensuring the correct parts and chemicals are being used for the correct jobs required.

  • Supporting quality, health & safety, and environmental procedures.

  • Always maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of work areas and workshops.

  • Carrying out all activities in accordance with the company “health & safety” policies.

Skills and competencies
  • Understanding of basic drawings and technical instructions.

  • Understanding basic mechanical engineering, workshop tool skills.

  • Manual dexterity and ability to work on complex component assembly.

  • computer literate and the ability to use spreadsheets.

  • Attention to detail and high standard quality.

  • Ability to complete tasks to an agreed timescale.

  • Ability to keep detailed records of weighing liquids, powders, measuring temperatures accurately.

  • Proactive attitude and the willingness to carry out any work needed.

  • Great team worker as well as being able to work on your own.
