Tableware
manufacturers have used a range of different forming processes to manufacture
ware of different shapes. These process, includind ram press and roller forming
, primarily used plaster moulds. The advent of resin technology has led to the
increasing adoption of pressure cast technology for tableware production.
Plaster moulds typically have poor strength and wear characteristics leading to
short mould lives ,wide variations in ware surface quality, high fettling and
finishing times and high mould inventory and mould making requirements.
Resin tableware moulds of all types provide manufacturers with the
following benefits: |
|
 |
Increased mould
service life - giving reduced mould costs per piece |
 |
Consistent high
service quality - giving reduced sponging and fettling requirements and
higher product consistency |
 |
Higher
productivity - through decreased cycle time and reduced downtime |
 |
Reduced inventory
- longer mould lives decrease mould inventory, mould making costs and
reduce work in progress |
Our experience in materials technology and mould
construction techniques means that we are the only company to offer resin
moulds and technologies for the full range of processes including:
 |
Pressure cast tableware moulds |
 |
Resin Ram Press moulds |
 |
Synthetic "flexible flatware" moulds

The varying process requirements for these
applications mean that we have designed mould materials with a range of
different mechanical properties and characterstics.
All PCL tableware
moulds can be readily adapted to fit on the wide range of forming machinery used
by tableware manufacturers around the world
