The slide unit, developed and patented by PCL in 2013, is one of our newest and simplistic casting systems. Each cell casts independently. Simple shapes and single cells can be demoulded by hand.
A typical casting module will comprise of serveral casting cells and a demoulding robot.
This means larger shapes including kitchen sinks can be automatically demoulded. This type of casting system is ideally suited for large or small wash basins in vitreous or fine fire clay. A range of different styles of product can be cast on the same module at the same time. This system is simple with minimum maintenance and maximum ease of use.
This casting system is suitable for vitreous and large fine fireclay pieces such as lavatories and kitchen sinks.
1 cell will typically cast 26,600 ppy in vitreous or 15,960 ppy in Fine Fire Clay.
The PC5/70 is a battery pressure casting system capable of producing a full range of solid and hollow cast sanitaryware on a single machine. The standard machine has a nominal five-metre active beam length on which up to 16 single or multi cavity two-part moulds can be hung. Increased beam lengths can be supplied if required for increased output.
The RMS pressure casting unit is an automated casting cell capable of producing hollow and solid cast tanks and covers. It has up to eight multiple casting modules and due to its unique design, mould changing can be carried out in less than 10 minutes.
This casting machine has an overhead beam suitable for the casting of larger two-part moulds including shower trays and kitchen sinks. It has a closing force of 120-tonne and may incorporate an automatic mould opening and demoulding system.
PCL has a number of bowl machines capable of producing the full range of WC bowls. Our PCB5/70 multi mould system offers the capability of producing eight bowls in one cycle. Our revolutionary RotoBowl is a modular system and can produce both open and stuck on rim bowls on the same cell.
PCL can supply a number of machine upgrades to our casting systems to increase their flexibility and further improve productivity and ease of use.
In addition to our standard range of machines PCL can design and build a machine to suit your specific casting requirements to an agreed specification.
