The PC120 is an overhead beam pressure casting system suitable for larger sanitaryware pieces, including shower trays and kitchen sinks operating with a closing force of up to 120 tonnes. All components are pre-assembled, skid mounted and commissioned at PCL Ceramics before being dispatched to clients. It is suitable for both vitreous and fine fire clay.
The casting cycle is controlled using a simple and easy to use PLC, which gives complete control over the casting cycle for drain and solid cast products. The PC120 pressure casting system is supplied
complete with a slip supply module including a heated slip tank, a water tank for mould treatment, slip and water pumps and hydraulic power pack.
PCL Ceramics is safety conscious when manufacturing pressure casting machines and the PC120 is supplied with interlocks and light guards to ensure safe operation of the machine.
The PC120 machine can be readily upgraded to add a mould rotation system, which will enable distortion free horizontal demoulding of larger single cavity moulds such as shower trays or large sinks with attached shelves.
With this system, once casting is complete a mould is opened and rotated through 90degrees for horizontal demoulding limiting the risk of damage to the clay piece.
This PC5/70 is a battery pressure casting system capable of producing a full range of solid and hollow cast sanitaryware on a single machine. The standard machine has a nominal five-metre active beam length on which up to 16 single or multi cavity two-part moulds can be hung. Increased beam lengths can be supplied if required for increased output.
The RMS pressure casting unit is an automated casting cell capable of producing hollow and solid cast tanks and covers. It has up to eight multiple casting modules and due to its unique design, mould changing can be carried out in less than 10 minutes.
This simple modular casting system was developed by PCL in 2013, and is suitable for a range of products including wash basins and kitchen sinks. Single or multi mould units are available with manual or automated demoulding subject to size of piece.
PCL has a number of bowl machines capable of producing the full range of WC bowls. Our PCB5/70 multi mould system offers the capability of producing 8 bowls in one cycle. Our revolutionary RotoBowl is a modular system and can produce both open and stuck on rim bowls on the same cell.
PCL can supply a number of machine upgrades to our casting systems to increase their flexibility and further improve productivity and ease of use.
In addition to our standard range of machines PCL can design and build a machine to suit your specific casting requirements to an agreed specification.
